New technology tool available for families: GoGuardian Parent

As part of Anoka-Hennepin Schools' commitment to student safety and well-being, an optional technology tool is now available for district families at no charge, “GoGuardian Parent.” This application provides parents with insights into their child’s online activity within their school-managed accounts and devices.

Features include:

  • Review of browsing history.
  • Blocking of specific websites during out-of-school hours.
  • Pause internet access on demand during out-of-school hours.
  • Scheduled times to pause internet access during out-of-school hours.

How to get started: Use these instructions to access the GoGuardian Parent app:

  1. Visit the app store to download the app:

  2. After the app is successfully downloaded and installed, open it up and enter the email address registered with your school/ParentVue account used in Anoka-Hennepin. If you forgot your registered email address, please reach out to your school administrator.

  3. Login/Check Email: Check your email on your phone for a link to log in to the app. Tap "Verify your email," and it will take you straight to the app. If you don't have access to your email through the device you used to log in, tap on "Login with verification code," and copy and paste the verification code from the email into the app.

Participation in GoGuardian Parent is optional. Anoka-Hennepin Schools respects your parental rights and provides this tool as an additional resource for families who wish to utilize it.
